God’s Divine Law

“….So do you believe in part of the Scripture and disbelieve in part? Then what is the recompense for those who do that among you except disgrace in worldly life; and on the Day of Resurrection they will be sent back to the severest of punishment. And Allah is not unaware of what you do”. (Qur’an 2. 85)

Submission to Allah is the heart of Islam which is based upon the Quran. Sharia is the religious law forming part of the Islamic tradition. It is derived from the religious precepts of Islam, particularly the Quran and the Hadith. In Arabic, the term shariah refers to God’s immutable divine law and fiqh which refers to the human scholarly interpretations. The justice is the aim of law that creates balance in the society and peace to humanity. Yet, Islam takes the preventive meseaures before the consequences happen. The law is given by the creator, we have to accept His sovereignty. Law is not just for theortical pupose but to implement it in our lives.

That’s why God provides intellectual insight and spiritual guidance for man to reach man’s utmost potential and then realize the majesty of God’s mercy in His ordinance. If we trangress, violate or abondon it that means we really don’t care, we can fool people around us but we can’t fool God as He who knows our thoughts and our heart beat as well. Actually, the definition of law includes rules regulations and system of laws charted by God. For instance, if student keep changing the law of college as per their requirements then the authority of principle is meaningless. So we need to give a serious thought. We are in trouble due to violating the law prescribed by God.

Hence, we need to revive our holy book to get deeper understanding and more insight as it’s very important to be a good human being than to be a successful or rich person. The world is in trouble due to forsaking the law of God that’s the reason criminal and evil activities are increasing day by day, ethical and moral values became just showcased traits which has nothing to do with our real life, So we need to change ourselves rather than to change the law. The one who does not fear God, fears everything, and the one who fears God, gets the courage and strength from Him.

Abdullah ibn Abbas RA said: One day, I was behind the Prophet pbuh so he said to me: “O young man, I am going to teach you some words.

Be mindful of Allah, and He will protect you.

Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him facing you.

If you ask, then ask of Allah. If you seek aid, then seek aid in Allah.

Know that if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to benefit you with something, they could not benefit you with anything except with that which Allah has written for you.

And if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to harm you with something, they could not harm you with anything except with what Allah has written against you.

The pen has been lifted and the pages have dried.” [at-Tirmidhi]

So our success lies in His submission and our loss in His disobedience. The important point is mankind is created with a purpose and will be raised up for judgement; the ultimate results day. We need to remind it ourselves daily for which we need to prepare here in this world.

“On a Great Day, The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Universe”. (Qur’an 83 :5-6)

However, God very well knows our flaws and weakness and no men are perfect : “All the sons of Adam are sinners, but the best of sinners are those who repent often.” (Tirmidh). That’s why God invites us through this Quran because he wants to forgive our sins. This clearly affirms that how compassionate and merciful Master He is ! We can enjoy God’s support and protection as long as we remain obedient to Him. Once we transgress the bounds of His obedience, we will be deprived of His care and protection and left to our own self, which is the worst state. Let’s make ourselves right before the future turns wrong. Just as an eagle focuses on his prey, we need to develope a similar eye so we can completely focus on our goal.

God who is the Judge for our deeds and to whom we are answerable one day, so there has to be justice for this unjust world.
