“Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (39 :53)
First and foremost, remember that having faith is very important in Islam. If due to certain reason, mistake or sin or wrong deeds have led to decrease our faith. The person just forgot or switched his way from right direction to wrong direction, not existed from Islam. We know Allah says in the Quran“And We had already taken a promise from Adam before, but he forgot; and We found not in him determination”(20 :115)We are children of Adam we could also make mistake and can commit sin but as soon as one realise just remember his Lord. If you ask Allah Almighty for forgiveness, then He’ll forgive you: “If any one does evil or wrongs his own soul but afterwards seeks God’s forgiveness, he will find God Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (The Noble Quran, 4:110)”
If any one falls in the mud so it’s not necessary he would remain in it, he would immediately try to come out similarly if Satan or evil temptations or our wrong deeds have made our faith decrease or almost lost so try to come out of that trap. The only way is to seek help from God and constant repentance can restore our faith. Revive your faith by supllicating to Him ask for guidance. Good deeds will increase your Imaan. Be in a company of righteous people. Remember that one day we all are to stand in front of our Lord and we will be accountable for our deeds. This belief will make us consciously aware about our deeds. Sincere repentance or making Tawbah involves the following three steps:
- Recognizing ones mistakes and sins,
- Feeling ashamed of violating Allah’s trust of complete submission to His commands, and
- Making a promise never to repeat such behavior.
Repentance, therefore, paves the way for Allah’s Grace in this life and the hereafter.Lastly, one has to be thankful to God who made him realised and provide the opportunity to repent to Him.
The prophet pbuh said in a Hadith:
“Every son of Adam sins, and the best of those who sin are those who repent.(Tirmidhi)
